Nigeria Unrest: Gunmen Abduct 'About 100 Schoolgirls' -- BBC
Around 100 girls are thought to have been abducted in an attack on a school in north-east Nigeria, officials say.
Gunmen reportedly arrived at the school in Chibok, Borno state, late last night, and ordered the hostel's teenage residents on to lorries.
The attackers are believed to be from the Islamist group, Boko Haram, whose militants frequently target schools.
On Monday, bombings blamed on the group killed more than 70 people in the capital, Abuja.
Boko Haram, whose name means "Western education is forbidden" in the local Hausa language, has been waging an armed campaign for an Islamic state in northern Nigeria.

WHY ARE THEY CALLED ISLAMIST!? its soo annoying when the media calls these animals "islamist" islam hasnt got anything to do with what these terrorists do. No religion promotes terorrism. The media is being run by satanist (people who worship satan) and their number 1 enemy is islam. So obviously they would manipulate people to make us look bad.
I would appriciate if the editor would kindly point this out by making comment about what i just said. If the editor whishes to do this from now on then he would contribute to waking people up.

True, but I'm uncertain which is worse.
Also it seems there are people who believe this all due to some lingering bitterness over some feng shui that went very wrong 1500 or so years ago.
I can't begin to imagine what these Islamists are doing with these unfortunate girls. There is too much evil in this world...

We are not allowed to even hurt a fly (literally) never mind blowing everyone up. And in the Quran, it specifically mention that we are also forbidden to kill ourselves/suicide.
So if they were "extremist" then boko haram would'v been following the quran and not hurt anyone.

Salim .... your defense of Islam is a noble thing to do .... and I respect that. But you are arguing with the wrong people. The people that you should argue with are those who are using Islam to pursue their own agenda .... an agenda that is unfortunately very violent. Their are numerous Islamic forums where there are people who are preaching this type of violence and who support people like Al Zawahiri or Nasir al-Wuhayshi .... that is who you should bring your argument to .... not to simple lay Christians like me.
You'r right, i should be doing that but you will never know how i feel when my religion is looked at the wrong way and the 2Billion people that follow it are victimised.
