The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn't been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier.
'The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,' Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline.

My Comment: The conclusions from this report are explosive. This is a report that was prepared by a group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers who took the time and effort to analyze and review the events that led to the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in 2012. But no one in the U.S. media is covering this story. NO ONE!!!!

My Comment: I do not expect Congress to launch an independent investigation into this tragedy. If this report is even 50% accurate .... it means that too many people were complicit in what eventually happened in Libya. But it will not surprise me if .... a few years from now .... when the politics has died down .... a more thorough and independent investigation will be conducted, and (I am speculating now) I suspect that their conclusions will be even more explosive.

what you have posted from is a tabloid! a group of anti Obama former folks ought not represent an investigation of such importance. There are elected officials and intel people whose responsibility is to look into such things.
Thank you Fred for your comment .... but you are making my point. In the past a responsible press would have shred this story apart and/or did their own investigation. Unfortunately .... in today's media world .... this does not happen. IRS scandal, Benghazi, Fast and Furious .... little if any coverage from the main stream media. Chelsea Clinton becoming pregnant .... the first 6 minutes on NBC's primetime news broadcast.
