Retired Iranian General: New Militia Unit Will Destroy Israel In 20 Years

IBTimes: Iran Military Unit Will Destroy Israel Within Two Decades, Former General Claims

A newly created Iranian military unit seeks to carry out the destruction of Israel within the next two decades, a former senior military commander said last week. Retired Iranian Revolutionary Guards General Mohammad Ali Al Falaki claims the recently formed Shi'ite Liberation Army will wipe out Israel through extraterritorial military operations, the Jerusalem Post reported Thursday.

The military unit has been tasked with fighting from Iraq, Syria and Yemen with the goal of ending the Jewish state, according to an interview with Iran's Mashregh news agency. The mission statement is to "eradicate Israel after 23 years, especially that these battalions are now on Israeli borders."

"....he seems very sure of himself." I have always marveled at this trait when it comes to adversaries of the United States, adversaries of Israel or adversaries of both nations be they nations such as Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Saddam Hussein's Iraq, Khaddafi's Libya, Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, and others. They are and the cases of the former Iraqi and Libyian remarkably sure of themselves to the point of extreme arrogance.

In contrast the capacity for self doubt in the United States and Israel has always been extraordinarily high to the point of self-hatred. Generally speaking such extreme self-doubt is harmful. Generally leaders say to team members things such as "leave your self doubt elsewhere." There's a good reason for this as people who lack confidence in themselves generally don't perform well and Americans suffer an extreme lack of confidence in themselves and their civilization. It's remarkable that these adversaries have not already eliminated us and our civilizations long, long ago.

In any event, among Americans and Israelis (especially Americans) we have extreme humility and among Iranians and the other adversaries above we have extreme arrogance. Humility does allow one the ability to be circumspect and to learn from mistakes whereas arrogance can sometimes hinder such circumspection and learning from one's mistakes.

Lol?? I didn't see anything funny in any of this.

The Iranians can do much better than cardboard stealth fighters. In fact, we would not be able to penetrate their air defense systems. This will be up to the better trained, better equipped, and better led Israeli pilots and it will be VERY difficult.

The Iranian general is not "dumb" nor is he full of "hot air." He may well be arrogant in the extreme, however, he is none of the above things. Israel is the "little Satan." America is the "great Satan" to the Iranian leadership. As such, we should assume the Iranian leadership has similar plans for America as it does for Israel. As such, it is going to be best to take them and their threats seriously as opposed to scoffing at them.
