Washington: The US and Japan have agreed to advance their multilateral security and defence cooperation with countries like India, South Korea and Australia in view of North Korea’s dangerous provocative behaviour, leaders of the countries have said.

The threat posed by North Korea was discussed by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono, defence secretary James Mattis and his Japanese counterpart Itsunori Onodera.

The four officials have strongly encouraged China to take decisive measures to urge North Korea to change its course of action.

Donald Trump was hired by the American people to lessen US foreign involvement. Candidate Trump was correct when he pointed out the cost-benefit analysis between South Korea and America may not be worth continuing this "aliance." Now he wants to increase ouf entanglement with these people!??!

Getting China and Russia to agree to sanctions on North Korea and getting China to pledge neutrality and all of this very publically was the stuff of diplomatic brilliance. Expanding entanglement with South Korea, not so smart for either America or Australia. As for India, they are hardly an "ally" but may be needed as a buffer against China. Even still, they are currently in conflict with China. We DO NOT and likely CANNOT be pulled into a conflict with China.

At this point, our military is so depleted that we can hardly keep our military aircraft flying safely. As such, war with China is beyond stupid especially on behalf of a foreign power who does NOT have our interests at heart.
